About DermAngelo
Skin doesn’t come with an owner’s manual. Most people’s skincare knowledge is cobbled together from a mix of “sage” advice, hearsay from friends and one too many “tips” from the internet. Furthermore, while the web should be a great resource, it is full of information that’s either not based on science or just designed to sell you something (#sponcon).
The goal of this blog: to provide you with practical, scientifically sound advice for achieving healthier, more beautiful skin.
About Angelo Landriscina, MD
Dr. Landriscina is a board-certified dermatologist, award-winning scientific researcher, medical writer and all-around skin care nerd. He became fascinated with the skin and its impact on social functioning as a teenager (he was a weird kid). That fascination pushed him to pursue a career in dermatology. He has also conducted research about topics ranging from burns and wound healing to nanotechnology. He takes pride in helping people achieve their healthiest, most beautiful skin and is having a lot of fun doing it!
Dr. Landriscina currently practices at Ever/Body. His clinical focus is on cosmetic dermatology while conducting research in the areas of LGBTQ+-focused dermatology, gender-affirming cosmetics, and social media’s impact on dermatology. He is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, serving on the Patient Advocacy Task Force and has served as a social media ambassador for the Academy.
